The service-based industry is a unique industry in that we are providing a service to the client. Not shipping them a product (although in branding, that has a serving component as well).
A service-based business is a more personal contact conceptually, done through a skillset.
Whether that is giving a transformational Coaching session or a Premium Consulting session, whether that is styling and transforming someone’s hair, doing a weekly natural gel French tip polished manicure on your client, or performing a deep tissue or lymphatic massage.
All of that is a service-based business.
Realtors, Insurance agents, Licensed General contractors, Wellness Coaches, Health Coaches, Dentists, Doctors, Chiropractors, and Therapists are all service providers.
There is such a unique aspect that can be overlooked by the service-based business owner because the goal is normally focused on the skill set.
Skill set is important.
The clients I work with are great at what they do, but the transformation normally happens predominantly in the area of who they are being and becoming.
The bigger results and transformation for their clients happen once we upgrade the structure of their reality.
How they see it, how they interact with it, how they show up for it.
All inner work.
I myself, as A Coach, just starting out over a decade ago, did not always put enough emphasis on this.
I didn’t know how valuable it was, although I knew it was valuable.
It wasn’t as talked about or spoken of in business.
Especially in the online space.
But over time, I can not ignore the results of focusing on who my clients are.
Their IDENTITY.
Their energy.
When you are marketing, or not marketing, people feel it, even if they can’t articulate it. It gives them assurance and a connection on whether to enroll with you.
When I analyze my work with clients, it’s all wrapped in the testimonials my clients give. They always reference how their mind changed.
In my clients’ calls from one week or one month to the next.
They always mention the mindset and innerwork aspects I shared with them, which made them aware and able to shift where needed.
As people begin to earn more and more money, those higher earners recognize that earning more requires them to focus more on themselves and who they are becoming. Think about some of the people you follow. Think about their habits and lifestyle.
That lower energy works in some stages, with some clients, but at a higher level, more premium clients, more premium opportunities, energy attracts or dispels new clients and opportunities.
This is why, at a certain level, you see most successful people have routines that include personal growth, exercise, and well-being at the very least.
At certain levels of business and consciousness, they realize that the ease and flow of their work and results are largely attached to who they are being.
They understand that their results are happening through them instead of by them.
By them is always harder.
Which way have you been thinking of creating your results, through you or by you?
How you see yourself, what’s going on within, is a BIG deal.
It rolls over into your marketing and everything else you set out to do in your business.
Let’s just imagine you were told that only the top one percent earners would see your marketing, would experience your services.
What are some of the first things that come up for you? In your mind?
What fears?
That’s some of the stuff unseen I’m referring to.
Chances are, your work is good enough, but the thing happening within creates an energy, an IDENTITY, if you would, that must be a match for what you desire.
Although silent and internal, it shows up.
Not that you desire to only work with the top 1% earners. But a BIg part of business is WHO CAN AFFORD YOUR SERVICES and who is aligned for the price points you want to create!
This is just an example you could immediately gain awareness with.
Thinking about servicing the top 1% and noticing your fears or thoughts around it.
When I work with my clients…they change…
Their energy changes. And that’s what moves the needle.
This is why my clients are charging more than their peers, earning more, transforming more lives, and working less than others doing similar things.
I remember, years before Coaching and Consulting, having these innerwork conversations with my then clients in my brick and mortar business.
Although I was styling behind the chair. I remember the transformation, even my staff received from working with me
. From being in my energy.
This made me even more mindful of what was going on within me.
I remember changing my entire clientele and growing an amazing list of clients, full of powerful, influential women, because I shifted my IDENTITY!
And 90% of that transformation was centered on how I saw myself.
90% of that transformation was who I was being.
When your clients get amazing transformation, they also get amazing results.
They also tell other people.
They also refer other people.
All of that is energy.
And when you’re ready for that energy to go to a new level, your biggest investment will always be you.
The higher version of you, a new IDENTITY.
Your biggest investment will always be based on what you feel you’re worth is.
Here’s an example:
Imagine a Coach who thinks that earning money has to always be a super hard process.
They will coach her clients to work super super hard, even to the point of burnout.
And somewhere in her own space of being, she feels she’s only worthy of greater herself if she is doing it through blood, sweat, and tears. Simpler ways of doing business won’t click for her.
We pass on this energy in our service-based business.
In our relationships with our children.
To our girlfriends.
To our community… based on how we see ourselves and our level of worthiness.
And all of that is Identity.
So whenever there is a larger, greater, more expansive goal, reaching it will always be tied to the innate space of how worthy we feel.
I’m here to share with you that creating your best year yet will be wrapped around how worthy you feel you are.
Wrapped in what your desire is.
